Offa, Kwara State – In a move set to impact local politics significantly, Queen-Latifah Biola Olanrewaju has declared her candidacy for the Chairmanship of Offa Local Government. A native of Ojomu South East Ward and popularly known as Arewa, Queen-Latifah brings extensive experience and a fresh perspective to the political arena.

At 29, she holds the position of Director General of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Support Group, Arewa Revolutionary Group for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ARG4BAT). Renowned for her grassroots mobilization, innovative strategies, and dedication to societal improvement, Queen-Latifah has been a trailblazer in political activism and community development.

Her political journey began in 2019 during the “oto gé” movement in Kwara State. In 2022, she aspired for the House of Representatives in the Ifelodun, Offa, Oyun Federal Constituency but stepped down in favor of party supremacy. She has contributed significantly to the current administration, including her role as Finance, Training, and Empowerment Coordinator for North Central in the APC Professional Women’s Council. She has held various positions, such as Assistant General Secretary in multiple APC initiatives, and was a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Strategy Committee. During the 2023 general election, she played a crucial role in voter mobilization and sensitization across the six geopolitical zones, advocating for women, youth, and people with disabilities.

Queen-Latifah holds a National Diploma and a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from Kaduna State Polytechnic, Zaria. She completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the National Assembly in Abuja, contributing to the Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism.
Her professional experience includes roles as a practicing journalist, tech advocate, caterer, and politician.
During her tenure as Miss Offa (Arewa) from 2019 to 2022, she spearheaded initiatives in skills acquisition and community empowerment, laying a robust foundation for her political ambitions. As the National Coordinator of APC Support Group ARG4BAT, she continues to advocate for youth inclusion, women’s participation in politics, and the voiceless.
Her candidacy promises transformative change for Offa LG, leveraging her political acumen and commitment to community development. With a vision rooted in progress and inclusivity, Queen-Latifah Biola Olanrewaju is poised to inspire a new generation of leaders in Offa and beyond.
