Reasons Kwara United Dismisses 22 Players Ahead of New Season

Kwara United has released 22 players in preparation for the upcoming season, as announced by the club’s management.
Speaking to journalists in Ilorin on Monday, Bashir Badawiy, the club’s General Manager, confirmed that 23 new players from the Nigeria Premier Football League have been signed to strengthen the team for the 2024/25 NPFL season.
During a meeting with the players and coaching staff, Badawiy revealed that new recruits include Abayomi Samuel from 3SC and Jimi Iteji from Plateau United, as well as Kazeem Badmus, Adamu Abubakar, and Ifeanyi Ogba from NPFL champions, Enugu Rangers. He urged the players to maintain discipline and align with the club’s philosophy.
“Our goal for the 2024/25 NPFL season is to finish among the top three clubs. We aim to avoid the struggles of previous seasons. In the last two years, we were among the top four and even qualified for continental competitions,” Badawiy stated.
Kwara United is set to participate in the upcoming Valuejet Preseason Tournament in Ikenne,
Ogun State.
