Reasons Lagos Closes Popular Church, Restaurants and Others
The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken decisive action against noise pollution by shutting down several prominent businesses, including two well-known restaurants, a church, and three other establishments in the Surulere and Orile Iganmu areas.
In a statement released on its X handle on Friday, LASEPA detailed its comprehensive enforcement operation aimed at addressing noise pollution and other environmental breaches in these areas of Lagos State.
The agency emphasized that despite multiple warnings and abatement notices previously issued, many businesses continued to disregard its directives.
To enforce compliance with environmental regulations, LASEPA has temporarily closed the non-compliant establishments.
The affected venues include Red Pepper Bites Limited, Lacibo Restaurant & Lounge, and Krusty Butter Bakery & Pastries.
Additional closures involve Addie, Don Nelson Resort & Suites, and Revelated Christian Ministry.
