Two Nigerian drug traffickers, Aikhomoun Daniel (alias Oladapo Olanrewaju) and Ayigoro Waheed Omobolaji, were apprehended after excreting 150 wraps of cocaine at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

The arrests were made by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday, June 21, 2024. NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday, revealed that the suspects were on a Qatar Airways flight to Doha.
Babafemi reported that the pair were detained at terminal 2’s screening point after testing positive for ingesting illicit substances. Both men were subsequently placed in observatory custody.
According to Babafemi, “Daniel excreted a total of 90 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.022 kg in six excretions, while Ayigoro discharged 60 wraps weighing 662 grams in five excretions.”
Further investigation uncovered that Aikhomoun had stolen the identity of his late uncle, who had lived in Germany. Aikhomoun, whose real name is Oladapo Olanrewaju, adopted this identity to obtain a Schengen visa for easier access to Europe.
In a related incident, Babafemi disclosed that on Friday, June 28, NDLEA operatives recovered 40.32 kg of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, from a black Toyota Tacoma truck along Lekki-Ikoyi road. The driver abandoned the vehicle upon noticing NDLEA agents in pursuit.
Additionally, NDLEA operatives disrupted a drug party in Abuja on Friday night, arresting 60 suspects, including 25 males and 35 females, at an apartment in Sun City estate. The party, titled “Go Hard or Go Home. Pick Your Poison,” was organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, who was also arrested at the venue.
