See How Man is Arrested for Attempted Murder in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command apprehended a suspect involved in a brutal assault on a 65-year-old man at Pako Bus Stop, Iyana Ipaja, using a hammer. The 29-year-old suspect, identified as Sodiq Ishola, was taken into custody at 8:30 pm on Monday.
Ishola was apprehended while attempting to cause further harm to the victim. Initial police investigations disclosed that Ishola and an accomplice had followed the victim and his wife from Lagos Island to Iyana Ipaja on a motorcycle.
Before his arrest by the RRS patrol operatives, Ishola had already inflicted serious head injuries on the victim.
The police announced on their X page that the victim was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Ishola has been moved to the RRS Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja.
