See the Numbers of Police Unknown Gunmen Killed, injured at Aba Checkpoint

Two policemen were killed and another injured in an attack by unknown gunmen at a checkpoint in Aba.

This incident occurred just a month after unidentified gunmen attacked a military checkpoint at Obikabia Junction, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and the burning of their patrol vans.
The recent attack happened at Opobo Junction along Ikot Ekpene Road, Ogbor Hill, causing widespread panic among street traders, motorists, and shop owners who fled for safety. In their haste, food items such as rice, beans, garri, meat, and vegetables were left scattered on the road.
Minutes after the attack, multiple police patrol teams arrived at the scene, which had been deserted by residents.
As of the time of this report, Abia Police spokesperson Maureen Chinaka had not responded to a text message sent to her.
