Shaibu Withdraws Gubernatorial Ambition and Declares who to Support

Philip Shaibu, the recently reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, announced on Sunday that he is suspending his gubernatorial ambitions to support Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the September 21 governorship election.Â
Speaking at the Afemai World Congress in Detroit, Michigan, Shaibu emphasized his commitment to Okpebholo, praising him as a promising candidate with a fresh approach and noting that his own political journey has been marked by significant challenges and personal growth.
Shaibu also urged the Nigerian diaspora to engage actively in the country’s politics and support the APC candidate to drive positive change in Edo State.
