Sowore Calls for Nationwide and Global Protest Against Judiciary Over Dele Farotimi’s Detention

Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters, has announced plans to lead a protest against the judiciary in response to the detention of human rights activist Dele Farotimi. Sowore is urging Nigerians and supporters worldwide to participate in a “nationwide/global protest” demanding justice.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Sowore revealed that the protest will begin on December 10 at several key locations, including Afe Babalola Chambers in Lagos, the Federal Ministry of Justice in Abuja, the Police Headquarters in Ekiti, and Kings’ College Campus in London.
The message concludes with the powerful statement: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
