Uche Secondus Lauds Governor Fubara for His Resilience Against Political Pressure

Uche Secondus, the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has publicly commended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his steadfastness amidst political challenges.
In a statement that subtly referenced former Governor Nyesom Wike, Secondus praised Fubara for standing firm during the recent Local Government elections, emphasizing his refusal to be intimidated.
“Your strength in not succumbing to pressure has set you apart,” Secondus remarked, highlighting Fubara’s commitment to democratic values despite attempts to undermine his authority.
Although Wike was not explicitly mentioned, the tension between the two has been evident, with Fubara increasingly asserting his independence since taking office.
Secondus further noted, “Governor Fubara has exemplified true leadership by championing democracy. His resilience is a testament to his dedication to the people of Rivers State and their future.”
He also urged President Bola Tinubu to collaborate closely with Fubara to safeguard the vital national assets in Rivers, emphasizing the importance of cooperation given the state’s economic significance.
In closing, Secondus congratulated the citizens of Rivers State for their impressive voter turnout during the elections and reaffirmed his support for Fubara’s leadership.
