Vigilante Justice in Kogi: Man Brutally Beaten After Alleged Theft Attempt

In a shocking display of anger, residents of Adavi-Eba, Kogi State, severely beat a man on Friday morning, November 29, 2024, after accusing him of attempting to steal. The suspect, believed to be a repeat offender, was allegedly caught in the act while attempting to steal phones and other valuables from a house through its window.

Reports suggest that the man was apprehended by the homeowners and, during questioning, failed to give a clear account of his origin, only mentioning the names of Nagazi and Ihima. As the situation escalated, the crowd turned violent, beating him mercilessly before authorities arrived at the scene.
The man has since been handed over to the police for further investigation and legal action.
