11 Internet Fraudsters Arrested in Rivers: Cars and Phones Seized
The Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 11 individuals suspected of internet fraud.
In a statement, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrests. He detailed that the operation took place in the Whimpey, Ada George area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, following credible intelligence and several days of surveillance by the Commission.
The operation resulted in the seizure of four cars, various brands of phones, and laptop computers containing fraudulent documents.
Oyewale added that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are complete.
