30 killed in Bandit Attacks on Katsina Communities

 

At least 30 individuals lost their lives in a series of attacks carried out by bandits on villages in the Dutsinma and Safana local government areas of Katsina State.

ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the Katsina State Public Relations Officer, confirmed these incidents on Friday.

The villages affected include Tashar Kawai Mai Zurfi, Sabon Gari Unguwar Banza, Dogon Ruwa, Sanawar Kurecen Dutsi, Unguwar Bera, Kuricin Kulawa, Larabar Tashar Mangoro, Sabaru, Ashata, Unguwar Ido, Kanbiri, Kunamawar Mai Awaki, and Kunamawar ‘Yargandu.

The attacks occurred on Tuesday, resulting in numerous casualties.

Aliyu stated, “The Command, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, is intensifying efforts to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators of this heinous act. Additional security measures are being put in place to prevent further occurrences of such incidents.

“Further developments will be communicated in due course. I apologize for any inconvenience, as I am currently at a workshop.”

According to FIRST CLASS GISTS, these attacks have compelled residents to flee their villages, seeking refuge in neighboring areas such as Dutsinma town and Turare village.
