Pastor Adeboye: No Amount Of Insults Will Provoke Me

Pastor E.A Adeboye
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has made it clear that no amount of verbal abuse or criticism can shake his resolve or provoke him to anger.
Speaking at the July Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption City in Mowe, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye addressed the issue of personal attacks he has faced over the years. Despite the negativity, he emphasized that he remains unbothered and fully focused on his divine mission.
“Anger is like a brief moment of insanity,” he warned during the sermon. “People may try to get under your skin, but don’t give in. Falling into that trap can ruin your destiny.”
The respected cleric urged the congregation to guard against anger, stressing that it is often a tool used by the enemy to derail destinies. He acknowledged that many people have spoken ill of him, likely hoping to spark a reaction, but affirmed that he would not be distracted from his spiritual goals.
“There are those who say all kinds of things, waiting for me to lose control. But I won’t. I know where I’m headed, and I intend to get there,” he said confidently.
In a related testimony, Pastor Adeboye recounted a past incident involving a prominent African leader who sought healing for a mysterious ailment that had defied medical solutions. The head of state, after hearing reports of miraculous healings attributed to Adeboye’s ministry, requested a personal meeting.
However, Adeboye declined the invitation, citing a full schedule and gently reminding his audience that divine assignments come first.
“I asked my pastor to let him know that I was already fully booked, and I didn’t mention that there is a more Excellent Excellency I answer to,” he shared.
Eventually, the head of state visited the RCCG camp himself—and according to Adeboye, that act of faith led to divine intervention and healing.
