I’ll Make Osun Civil Servants Proud” AMBO Vows at Ikire Muslim Community Prayer, Debunks Half-Salary Claims_

Ikire, Osun State – Governorship hopeful, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, has assured Osun civil servants of a worker-friendly administration if elected, promising that his tenure will restore dignity to the state’s workforce.

AMBO spoke on during a special prayer session organized by the Ikire Muslim Community (IMC), which brought together leading Islamic scholars and clerics from across Osun and neighboring states. On Sunday 3rd of may 2026

The intercessory prayer, convened ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, was held to seek divine intervention for peace and a favorable outcome for AMBO’s aspiration.

While addressing the gathering, AMBO expressed appreciation to the IMC, a non-partisan faith-based body, for their spiritual support. He described the group’s belief in his capacity as a “Muslim brother with a track record of service” as humbling.

“Osun civil servants will be proud of having me as their governor,” AMBO declared. “By God’s grace, I will uphold the doctrine of a good Muslim in government — justice, accountability, and prompt welfare for workers.”

AMBO also used the occasion to address what he termed “campaigns of calumny” by the ruling party regarding the modulated salary policy under former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

“I was not the Commissioner for Finance during that period,” he clarified. “Those who worked with me at the Osun State (OSCO) Com. For finance and the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) can attest to my worker-friendly policies and commitment to prompt payment of wages.”

He urged civil servants to disregard propaganda and judge him by his personal record of service.

“I’ll make you proud of me,” AMBO assured the state workforce, drawing applause from attendees.

The IMC leadership reiterated that their support is faith-driven and not partisan, aimed at encouraging leaders who demonstrate integrity and the fear of God…
