On Saturday the 4th day of July, 2026, candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu and Irepodun Federal Constituency stormed Oke-Ayo Community in Olorunda Local Government Area as part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

The campaign delegation included the APC candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN (K-RAD); House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Taofeek (ITK); Osogbo State Constituency candidate, Hon. Abdullahi Olaiya Ayodeji (Ayonic); Olorunda State Constituency candidate, Hon. Dr. Sanusi Sesan (Kajola); and the Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency candidate, Hon. Adekunle.

The campaign team received a warm reception from community leaders, youths and women, led by Alhaji Gasali Owolabi (KASMO), who expressed appreciation for the visit and the candidates’ direct engagement with residents.

Addressing the gathering, K-RAD assured the community of AMBO’s readiness to address the developmental needs of the people and reposition Osun State for sustainable growth and prosperity.

“AMBO is tested and trusted. He is a reliable, accountable, responsible and responsive public administrator who successfully managed the resources of our state during a very difficult period,” K-RAD said.

“He is the best man to lead Osun at this critical time. We are asking the people to use their votes to entrust him with the responsibility of managing the affairs of our state and leading Osun towards greater prosperity.”

K-RAD further urged residents to support the entire APC tickets in the forthcoming cycle of elections, stressing that effective development requires strong alignment and cooperation across the different levels of government.

“For this community and others across our constituency to enjoy greater dividends of democracy, we must support all APC candidates, beginning with the governorship election on August 15. AMBO’s victory is fundamental to our collective efforts to deliver more development and improve the lives of our people,” he said.

He assured residents that all the APC candidates were committed to working collectively to improve the welfare of the people and deliver meaningful development across the constituency.

Responding to one of the community’s immediate needs, K-RAD, on behalf of all the candidates, pledged the provision of a functional borehole to improve access to potable water in Oke-Ayo Community.

As part of the outreach, the candidates also donated solar-powered streetlights to the community to enhance security, improve visibility at night and contribute to better living conditions for residents.

In their response, community leaders and residents expressed profound appreciation to the APC candidates for the visit, engagement and interventions. They reaffirmed their support for the party and pledged to vote for AMBO and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

The Oke-Ayo engagement forms part of the APC candidates’ expanding grassroots mobilisation drive across the Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu and Irepodun Federal Constituency, with a focus on direct engagement, community needs assessment and building support for AMBO’s vision for a more prosperous Osun State.
