Adeleke Commissions 20-Year-Old TETFund Projects at UNILESA
Adeleke Commissions 20-Year-Old TETFund Projects at UNILESA

…Questions Trail Absence of State-Funded Capital Projects Despite ₦1.5m Tuition…

It was a shameful scene in Ilesa on Tuesday as Governor Ademola Adeleke commissioned a poorly renovated Faculty of Law Annex—originally built about 20 years ago—alongside several TETFund-funded projects at the state-owned University of Ilesa (UNILESA).
Notably, none of the projects commissioned was executed or funded by the Adeleke administration. They were either existing structures that received limited renovation or projects financed through TETFund, an intervention agency of the Federal Government.
What makes the situation even more troubling is that law students at UNILESA pay ₦1.5 million in tuition per academic session, raising legitimate questions about the value they receive and the state’s investment in the institution.
