Children Protest Against Tinubu in Kwara State Over Increasing Hardship
In Ilorin, Kwara State, dozens of children, mostly under 15, staged a protest on Saturday against the government led by President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a viral video, the children were seen waving leaves and expressing their frustrations about the hardships they attribute to the current administration. They chanted, “Tinubu, thief! This suffering is enough. We are tired and cannot continue like this.”
Another video captured a separate group of children protesting outside the Emir of Ilorin’s palace, where they voiced their concerns over hunger and the difficulties stemming from APC policies.
The previous week, a local commercial driver, Wahab Ajibaye, shared his struggles with rising fuel prices, which have made it difficult for him to support his family. Despite earning N20,000 daily, he reported that after fuel expenses, he was left with only N3,000 to take home, significantly impacting his ability to provide for his wife and children.
Ajibaye lamented, “I’m buying fuel for N1,100, and after working, I’m only left with N3,000. As the owner of my car, I can’t meet my family’s needs anymore. The APC government is leading us to disaster. Nigeria is getting worse, and we hope for a change in leadership.”
He criticized the ruling government for worsening the plight of Nigerians, urging them to reconsider their actions amid widespread public dissatisfaction.
