Gunmen Attack Sokoto Community on Sallah Day, See The numbers of people killed and kidnapped
On Sunday, suspected gunmen attacked Dudun Doka village in the Gwadabawa local government area of Sokoto State, resulting in at least ten deaths and multiple abductions. The attack, which took place around 1:30 AM, involved heavily armed assailants who opened fire on the villagers and kidnapped several people
This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence in Sokoto State. In recent months, similar attacks have occurred in various local government areas, including Tangaza, Sabon Birni, and Isa. These attacks have often been linked to conflicts involving local vigilantes and bandits, and have sometimes been triggered by local communities’ refusal to pay levies imposed by bandit groups
The security situation in Sokoto State remains precarious, with ongoing efforts by local authorities and security forces to address the threat posed by these armed groups.
