How Gunmen Kill Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of Enugu’s Ogbete Market

Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Market Amalgamated Traders’ Association (OMATA), was brutally murdered on Saturday night. The killing has heightened tensions in Enugu, the capital of Coal City.
Reports indicate that Aniagu, who led the state’s largest market, was shot by assailants believed to be hired killers. The attack took place in the Topland Area, where the gunmen also stole his car.
A disturbing video circulating online shows Aniagu’s body, covered in bullet wounds, with shocked onlookers gathered around. The Enugu State Police have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
