Killer of Enugu Musician Igbo-Jah Identified: Police and Officials Visit Family

The tragic murder of Enugu musician Chikezie Okezie Nwamba, known as Igbo-Jah, has led to significant developments, including a visit from Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, and state officials to the musician’s family.

Igbo-Jah was shot dead by a police officer on Friday night, prompting an outpouring of grief from fans and the community. During their visit, CP Kanayo assured the family and residents of Enugu that the investigation is being prioritized and will be completed swiftly, ensuring justice is served.
He reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to uphold discipline among its officers, emphasizing that those who act unlawfully will face consequences to deter future misconduct.
According to Enugu Police Command spokesperson DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the officer identified as Inspector Ozonwanji Joseph is in custody and will face legal repercussions once the investigation concludes.
