Ndume Clarifies: I Criticize Policies, Not President Tinubu

Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, has clarified that his criticisms are directed at the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, not the president himself.
In an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Ndume explained, “I’m not criticizing the President, but I disagree with some of his policies. This is our government, and I’m not an opponent of it.”
He further emphasized his respect for the president, saying, “I don’t criticize my elders. I am the son of a soldier, and in the military, we are taught to respect our elders. Tinubu is my elder, and I hold him in high regard, but I disagree with him on certain issues, hoping we can come to a mutual understanding.”
Ndume has been outspoken regarding the country’s economic challenges under Tinubu’s leadership. The senator previously alleged that those close to the president were preventing him from understanding the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians.
