Obidient Movement to Stand by ADC Regardless of Peter Obi Losing Primary Electio — Tanko

The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Tanko Yunusa, has stated that members of the movement will remain in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and respect the outcome of the party’s presidential primary, even if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar clinches the ticket.
Yunusa explained that the movement, which is backing former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, is committed to internal democracy and will participate in the primary process on equal footing with other aspirants, including Atiku. He expressed strong confidence, however, that Obi would emerge victorious, citing the wide support base he brings into the party.
According to him, the Obidient Movement believes in fair competition and democratic principles, adding that Obi’s popularity and mass following within the ADC give him a strong edge in the contest.
Responding to questions about the movement’s next steps should Atiku win the primary, Yunusa affirmed that they would remain loyal to the party and continue to support its democratic growth and stability.
