Reasons Ogun APC Bans Unauthorized Meetings Ahead of Local Government Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has announced a ban on sectional and unauthorized meetings by aspirants or their supporters in preparation for the upcoming local government primaries.
A public notice issued on Wednesday, signed by State Party Chairman Chief Yemi Sanusi, emphasized the party’s exclusive authority over the election preparation process. The notice clarified that only the party chairman or an appointed representative is authorized to convene meetings, with unauthorized gatherings potentially leading to disciplinary measures, including the disqualification of non-compliant aspirants.
The APC, which holds a dominant position in Ogun State’s political sphere, reiterated that personal interests must be aligned with the party’s unified strategy for success in the November 16 elections. This directive aims to ensure a coordinated approach and uphold party discipline leading up to the polls.
