See the Names of 12 State-Owned Tertiary Institutions that just Join NELFUND’s Student Loan Portal

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the inclusion of 12 additional state-owned tertiary institutions to its student loan application portal. This update was shared in a statement by Nasir Ayitogo, Head of Media and Public Relations at NELFUND, on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to Mr. Ayitogo, this expansion follows the successful submission and verification of the necessary data from these institutions. With this addition, the number of participating state government-owned tertiary institutions has grown from 36 to 48.
Mr. Ayitogo encouraged institutions that have not yet submitted their students’ data to the Student Verification Portal (SVS) to do so promptly, enabling their students to benefit from the loan scheme. He also urged states with verified and uploaded data to inform their students about the opportunity, highlighting that this would provide financial relief to students and secure revenue for the institutions.
Students from the newly added institutions are advised to visit www.nelf.gov.ng to apply for the loan. However, data from 121 institutions remains pending.
The 12 new state-owned institutions include Abia State Polytechnic, Benue State University (Makurdi), College of Education (Waka-Biu), University of Medical and Applied Sciences (Enugu State), Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (Wudil, Kano State), Kwara Polytechnic, Lagos State University of Science, Olabisi Onabanjo University (Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State), Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Taraba State Polytechnic, and Yobe State University.
