A Nigerian Airforce helicopter has reportedly crashed in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The crash occurred near the headquarters of the Nigerian Airforce Air Training Centre in Mando. Although the Nigerian Airforce has yet to issue an official statement, local sources reported that the helicopter went down early Monday morning in Taimi village, near Rigachikun.
In response, a team from the Nigerian Airforce Air Training Centre and the 401 Flying School cordoned off the area to secure the site for emergency rescue operations and to investigate the cause of the crash.
