Military Strike: 152 Terrorists Killed and 109 Arrested in a Single Week, DHQ Reports

The Defence Headquarters announced on Friday that in the past week, military operations led to the deaths of 152 terrorists and the arrest of 109 individuals. Additionally, key terrorist strongholds were dismantled: one in the Sadiku area of Tsora Hill, Safana LGA in Katsina State, and another in the Alhaji Yusuf area within Yadi Forest, Giwa LGA in Kaduna State.

Maj. Edward Buba, Director of Media Operations, highlighted these achievements as evidence of the military’s progress towards eliminating criminal threats. He stated, “The ongoing battle against terrorists, insurgents, and violent extremists is showing results. Our troops are making significant strides towards eradicating these threats. The military continues to adapt and improve its strategies to counteract the activities of these groups.”

Buba also noted that operations resulted in the rescue of 91 hostages and the prevention of oil theft amounting to approximately N795,683,395.00 in the South-South region. Key operations disrupted crude oil theft in several locations in Rivers State, and two female collaborators involved in ransom negotiations were apprehended.
