Woman Arrested for Cutting Husband’s Manhood During Argument in Ogun

A 28-year-old woman, Yemisi Ogunlana, has been apprehended by Ogun State police for allegedly severing her husband’s manhood during a dispute.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Oko-Oba area of Ogijo, where Yemisi is accused of using a sharp object to injure her 31-year-old husband, Idowu Adebowale.
According to a statement from police spokesperson Omolola Odutola, the husband reported the incident to the Ogijo Division around 5:15 p.m. on Monday. He claimed that the attack took place on October 15 at 4:30 a.m. following a minor disagreement.
Idowu presented the officers with evidence of the injury, which included a severe cut near the tip of his penis. Due to the seriousness of his condition and the delay in seeking medical attention, he was given a medical form and advised to visit a hospital.
Odutola confirmed that Yemisi has denied the allegations during questioning. She added that the case will be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further inquiry.
The spokesperson attributed the incident to uncontrolled anger, highlighting the broader issue of domestic violence.
