Tight Security at National Assembly as Senator Natasha Plans to Return

Security measures have been significantly tightened around the National Assembly Complex amid reports that suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan plans to return to plenary today.
A noticeable increase in the presence of security personnel—including officers from the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps—has been observed at key access points. These include the main entrance, the annex gate near the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the Villa gates leading into the premises.
Security checks have also intensified, with vehicles heading into the complex undergoing thorough inspection. Entry is being restricted to individuals who can present valid identification cards, while those without proper credentials are being turned away.
