Killing Of Our Campaign D-G’s Nephew By Accord Party’s Hitmen In Esa-Oke, Attack Of Eniade In Okuku Callous, Wicked, Barbaric

Killing Of Our Campaign D-G’s Nephew By Accord Party’s Hitmen In Esa-Oke, Attack Of Eniade In Okuku Callous, Wicked, Barbaric- Osun APC

…Tasks Police To Swing Into Action, Calls For Arrest Of OSHA Speaker, Egbedun…

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the killing of the party’s governorship campaign Director-General, Wole Oke’s nephew, Dele Ayegbo, in Esa-Oke, Obokun Local Government Council Area of the state on Wednesday night by the hit squad of the Accord Party on who have been terrorising the members and supporters of the opposition APC across the state.

Information has it that Ayegbo was gunned down at the road junction close to his house at the Idofin quarters area of the ancient town by the Accord Party hoodlums who were riding in a car.

It was learnt that two of our members were shot by the political thugs during the incident and that while Ayegbo died instantly, the other victim was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the town where he has been receiving treatment.

The spate of the killings because of the re-election bid of Governor Adeleke is becoming unprecedented in the political history of the state and its record has shown that it has surpassed that of the 2022 governorship election when no fewer than 30 members and supporters of our party were slaughtered like rams by the political thugs working for the PDP that has now metamorphosed to the Accord Party in Osun State.

Ijesaland has been witnessing the highest percentage of political killings orchestrated by the state incumbent government as 17 of the 30 of our members killed by the Accord Party thugs before the 2022 governorship election took place in Ijesaland.

It is also observed that Ijesaland has been a hotbed of political killings by the Accord Party hoodlums since the inception of the governorship electioneering exercise in the state as a sizeable number of the dangerous political thugs who were recently granted clemency by Governor Adeleke have been having a free day to operate.

A common observation has been that whenever our members were killed, the self-acclaimed chief security officer of the state would not condemn the killing which gives credence to his approval of the rampant extra-judicial killings of our members and supporters in the state.

The state police command cannot afford not to act swiftly, decisively and proactively on these needless killings of our members few hours to the governorship election as the purpose is to scare away our members and supporters from exercising their civic responsibility on Saturday.

The killing of the nephew of our campaign Director-general in Esa-Oke is one death, too many which must be urgently unravelled by the police in the interest of fairness and justice.

The killing was callous, wicked, barbaric and inconsiderate as there should ideally not be a meeting point between violence and democratic dispensation.

In a related development, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Egbedun, on Wednesday reportedly attacked the APC Federal House of Representatives candidate, Francis Eniade, in Okuku, headquarters of Odo-Otin Local Government Area of the state.

The convoy of Eniade was waylaid while returning from Inisa by suspected thugs and security personnel attached to Hon. Egbedun, who were said to be travelling in a Lexus Jeep. Sensing danger, Eniade increased his speed and headed to the Okuku Divisional Police Station for safety.

However, Egbedun security details and suspected thugs invaded the police station, where Eniade’s driver was wounded and his Hilux and other vehicles were damaged.

Governor Adeleke, his cohorts and his Accord Party should put on their thinking cap by stopping the needless killings of our members as it is not by force to govern the people who have rejected you because of your unenviable record of performance in the past three and a half years.
