FCGs reports that a suspected native doctor has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Amotekun Corps with a fresh dead body.
The self-styled native doctor, identified as Babatunde Kolawole, was arrested in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, FCGs gathered
The police spokesperson in Ogun, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Sunday, saying the man told the Amotekun Corps operatives who arrested him with the male corpse that he was trying to revive him.
“Although the suspect did not deny the incident, he claimed to be a native doctor who was attempting to revive the deceased,” Odutola said.
She said it remains unclear how Kolawole “obtained the fresh corpse during the late hours of the night.”
According to her, nobody has come forward to claim the body, and the suspect was yet to reveal any further information about the source of the dead body.
The corpse was said to have been conveyed to the Ifo General Hospital for an autopsy, “in order to gather more information and solve the case.”
Meanwhile, the Sango-Ota Divisional Police Officer has urged the general public to come forward and provide useful information related to the incident.
