How seriously ill woman rejected blood transfusion, says it’s against her JV belief
FCG reports that a Nigerian philanthropist, Chigozie Effe, is seeking advice on what to do after a critically ill woman who is in dire need of urgent surgery in Delta State declined blood transfusion as it’s against her belief as a Jehovah’s witness.
FCG learnt from his facebook post on Friday
“Update. Lydia has bluntly refused to accept blood transfusions saying it’s against her belief as a JEHOVAH WITNESS. However she opted for a blood capsule which didn’t go well with the doctors due to the time and the urgency of the proposed surgery,”
“Furthermore doctors handling her case in Delta said she needs five pints of blood in order to kick off with the surgery. We are in confusion as to how to handle this case as the doctors both at the private and public hospitals said her blood is low and cant be worked upon and tine us running out. What do we do?”
