Katsina Killings: See what President Tinubu Orders Security Agencies to Do
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent killings in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara Local Government Areas of Katsina State. In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 11, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu directed security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they face justice.
The statement reads: “President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the recent spate of attacks against citizens in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara Local Government Areas of Katsina State. Describing these attacks as grisly and sinister, the President emphasized the need for increased efforts to secure citizens and eradicate terrorists and other threats across the country.
“President Tinubu has instructed security agencies to pursue the assailants and bring them to justice.
“The President extends his condolences to the families of the victims, as well as the Government and people of Katsina State, and prays for the repose of the souls of the deceased.”
The Katsina State Police Command confirmed on Monday that about 20 individuals, including four police officers and two operatives of the state-owned Community Watch Corps, were killed by suspected te
rrorists.
