Pastor John Ogbonna Passes Away While Fasting and Praying on Abuja Mountain

Pastor John Ogbonna has tragically died while engaged in fasting and prayer concerning Nigeria’s current challenges. Hailing from Ohazara in Ebonyi State, Ogbonna was found deceased on a mountain along Arab Road in Abuja.
A concerning video shared by SaharaReporters depicts his lifeless body on the mountain, where he had been praying. A voice, speaking in Igbo, calls for awareness among the local community: “Ebonyi people, Ohaozara people, see where our brother ended. Pastor John Ogbonna has been on this mountain since yesterday (September 22). Today is September 23, 2024. Please share this message to inform his family or anyone who might know him.”
One of Ogbonna’s followers shared with SaharaReporters, “His body was discovered next to his Bible and prayer materials, which has left his congregation in deep sorrow as they awaited his return.”
Known for his strong faith and dedication to spiritual retreats, Ogbonna often spent long periods in prayer on the mountain. His church community is currently mourning his loss and praying for his eterna
