Plateau State Police Detain Man Over Disturbing Call for Violence in Protest Plan

Authorities in Plateau State have apprehended Sulaiman Yakubu for allegedly inciting violence and urging residents to target police stations, military facilities, and commercial areas during a planned nationwide protest on August 1st.
In a widely circulated TikTok video, Yakubu urged residents to take action early, suggesting that they begin by targeting gas stations in Jos North, Jos South, and Jos East. He proposed escalating the violence to include markets and police stations, and even suggested attacking bakeries and influential figures if their demands were not met within a specified timeframe.
