See the Number of ISWAP Fighters Nigerian Army killed in Sambisa Forest

In a recent operation, the Nigerian Army reported that its forces successfully neutralized 11 members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Jongo, located within the Sambisa forest in Bama Local Government Area, Borno State.
According to a report by Zagazola Makama, a publication focused on counter-insurgency efforts, the operation was carried out on July 5 with the support of the civilian joint task force (CJTF). During the incursion, the troops uncovered and seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including 99 rounds of 7.62mm x 54 ammunition, 19 rounds of 7.62mm x 39 special ammunition, three AK-47 rifle magazines, 47 rounds of additional ammunition, two locally fabricated guns, and two hand grenades.
The report highlighted that the military forces sustained no casualties during the operation, though one member of the CJTF was injured. This follows an earlier success in April when troops discovered a facility in Borno used by ISWAP for the production of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
