WAEC Announces Dates for Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE)

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Nigeria has announced the schedule for the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, Second Series 2024. The exams will take place from Friday, October 25 to Friday, December 20, 2024.
This year’s examination will feature a hybrid format, where objective or multiple-choice questions will be displayed on-screen, requiring candidates to respond digitally. Essay and practical questions will also be shown on-screen, but responses must be submitted using provided answer booklets.
Additionally, candidates who prefer the traditional Paper and Pen method for all exam papers will have that option available.
The registration period for prospective candidates has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024. There will also be a “Walk-in Candidate” option for those who register at least 24 hours prior to their chosen paper.
The final timetable for the examination can be downloaded from the WAEC Nigeria website (https://www.waecnigeria.org).
WAEC encourages both prospective and registered candidates to utilize the various learning resources available, including the WAEC e-Study platform (https://estudy.ng), purchasing the WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and engaging with fellow candidates on the WAECKonnect platform (https://waeckonnect.com).
The Council wishes all candidates success in their upcoming examinations and remains committed to enhancing service delivery through technological innovations.
