Prophet Jeremiah vs VeryDarkMan: Plaintiff’s Lawyer Alleges Defendant Tampered with Evidence in NAFDAC Case

Prophet Jeremiah vs VeryDarkMan: Plaintiff’s Lawyer Alleges Defendant Tampered with Evidence in NAFDAC Case

In an ongoing case before the FCT High Court, counsel for the plaintiff, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, has alleged that the defendant, Mr. Martins Vincent Otse—also known as VeryDarkMan—has forged evidence. The case, filed in July 2024, revolves around a dispute involving NAFDAC regulations and has been adjourned indefinitely by Justice Nwosu Iheme.

During a recent court session, Samuel Ihensekhien Jnr Esq., representing the plaintiff, addressed concerns about his absence from court proceedings. He explained that due to medical reasons, he was unable to attend a scheduled court session but had informed the court of his circumstances. He criticized the defendant’s request for costs, describing it as unjustified and noting that the court had rejected this request.

Ihensekhien Jnr also highlighted significant discrepancies in the documents presented by the defendant. He claimed that receipts purportedly used by Otse to purchase spiritual items were fabricated, alleging that they do not exist and were forged to provide the defendant with standing in the case. The counsel stated that forensic analysis by the police would confirm the forgeries.

Defendant’s lead counsel, Ademola Oyedokun Esq., responded by criticizing the plaintiff’s failure to appear at the latest court session. He expressed frustration at what he perceived as a lack of seriousness from the plaintiff’s legal team, accusing them of engaging in a “game of hide-and-seek.”

Following the adjournment, the case file has been returned to the Chief Judge of the FCT for reassignment, as the Vacation Court sessions are ending. The matter will now be transferred to a regular court for further proceedings, with no new date set as of now.
