Man Found Dead on Ikeja Railway Tracks in Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has reported the discovery of a man’s body on the railway tracks in the Agege area of Ikeja.
Nosa Okunbor, head of LASEMA’s public affairs unit, stated that preliminary investigations indicate the man was struck by a train in the early hours of Monday.
Upon arrival at the scene around 9:02 a.m., the Eagle Response Team found the lifeless body of an adult male on the tracks.
“Further investigation revealed that the man was likely hit by a moving train earlier in the day,” Okunbor explained. “Sadly, he has not been identified. Our team recovered the body and transferred it to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU), which subsequently took it to the morgue for processing.”
The incident was addressed by multiple agencies, including LASEMA, the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), and the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC).
