HON. OLUWOLE OKE PUTS CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES ON HOLD AS OSUN APC GRIEVES OVER FATAL EDE INCIDENT

This is to formally inform our esteemed party leaders and faithfuls that the inauguration of the Oriade Unit canvassers, earlier scheduled for Thursday, 25th June 2026, has been suspended until further notice.
This decision follows the unfortunate incident that occurred today in Ede, where a truck allegedly associated with the PDACCORD collided with our procession, resulting in the tragic loss of lives and leaving several of our members injured. At least nine individuals are currently receiving medical attention.
We are also in a period of solemn reflection following the tragic passing of Ajayi Rogba of Esa-Oke, who was killed yesterday. His untimely death, alongside today’s incident, has deeply shaken our collective spirit as a party.
The leadership has taken immediate steps to ensure that all affected members receive adequate care and support. Consequently, tomorrow has been designated for visits to the injured and bereaved families, as we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
We urge all members to remain calm, united, and law-abiding as we navigate this moment with dignity, restraint, and compassion.
